Cylinder Sleeving

When your cylinder is damaged beyond repair or worn out beyond maximum boring specifications, it is time to replace or repair your cylinder. New OEM Cylinders can cost over $1000. Some cylinders may not be produced by the manufacture anymore and may not be available. So, the other option is to install a new cylinder sleeve. Installing a new cylinder sleeve can save you money and restore your cylinder just like new. Your newly installed cylinder sleeve will also be back to the original standard bore size from the factory, meaning you can re-bore it over and over if you need to. We can install a new cylinder sleeve and package it with a new piston kit and top end gasket kit for the cost of some new OEM cylinders alone.

Just send us your cylinder and we take care of the rest. Your package will look like new and be ready to bolt on and go! Use our drop-down menu to find your vehicle. Purchase the Cylinder Sleeving Service. Print the receipt. Send us your cylinder. We will have your package back to you in about 10 to 14 days after we receive it. Contact us if you need technical help with your cylinder.

TYPES OF CYLINDER SLEEVES EXPLAINED:

AC - Original cylinder bore is alloy-chrome plated, Nikasil, or Electrofused. The cylinder plating needs to be removed and must be bored to accept the new cylinder sleeve. Then new plating will be applied.

CS - Original block has a cast-in sleeve liner in the cylinder. The cylinder must be bored out to accept the new cylinder sleeve. The cast-in liner will be bored completely out of the cylinder. Do not try to push out the cast-in liner, cylinder damage may be the result.

CI - Original block has a cast-in liner in the cylinder. The cylinder must be bored to accept the new cylinder sleeve. When using a CI style sleeve the cast-in liner will not be completely removed. The sleeve is designed to insert into the iron lined cylinder.

RS - Original block has a replacement sleeve. Heat the cylinder to remove the sleeve. Reheat the cylinder to install the new cylinder sleeve.

CC - Original barrel is cast-iron. The cylinder must be bored to accept the new cylinder sleeve.
